WORCESTER, Mass. — Sept. 11, 2009 — At the IBC2009 show in Amsterdam, Telecast Fiber Systems will preview the CopperHead™ 3000 Series — the newest addition to the company’s CopperHead family of camera-mountable fiber optic camera transceivers. The CopperHead 3000 Series has been designed to offer a cost-effective solution for a variety of applications and users, and will provide a single fiber optic link between any professional camera or camcorder and the broadcaster’s truck, control room, or “video village” position.
“Our newest CopperHead system is a direct response to input from our customers around the world, and it will represent the best of Telecast’s award-winning fiber optic technologies,” said Richard Cerny, president, Telecast Fiber Systems. “The CopperHead 3000 has been built from the ground up to handle all vital camera signals, and it can also be configured for specific applications such as ENG or multi-camera use.”
The CopperHead 3000 Series can be configured with a choice of fiber connectors, and will include options for power including battery or AC, the Telecast Power Wafer™ for moderate distance operation on SMPTE fiber, or the Telecast “Power Plus” for long-range, high power runs over SMPTE hybrid fiber.
The Copperhead 3000 series will be on display at IBC2009 in Telecast’s stand, 10.B39 and is scheduled to ship the first quarter of 2010.
