Bob McAlpine Joins Telecast Fiber Systems as Vice President of Sales

WORCESTER, Mass. May 19, 2009 —Telecast Fiber Systems today announced that video industry veteran Bob McAlpine has joined the company as vice president of sales. With more than three decades of sales management experience, McAlpine will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Telecast Fiber Systems’ global sales organization, including direct sales and channel operations.

Just prior to joining Telecast Fiber Systems, McAlpine served as vice president of global sales and business development for MultiDyne Video and Fiber Optic Systems. There, he oversaw a complete reorganization of all sales channels and assisted with the development of new markets. Previously, he was vice president of business development at QuStream, a promotion he received when QuStream acquired PESA in 2005. Prior to that, McAlpine was senior vice president of sales and marketing for PESA, where he had served for 17 years in numerous sales management roles. Before joining PESA, McAlpine was first engineer and then operations manager for the Metropolitan Transmission Company, a division of 3M. He also served as an electronic technician in the Medical Media Production Services unit of the U.S. Veterans’ Administration, and began his career as an airborne radar specialist for the U.S. Air Force. McAlpine has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from New York’s Polytechnic University.
