Truck Takes Latest Mobile Broadcasting Technologies on the Road Right
After NAB Show
WORCESTER, Mass.
— April 8, 2009 — Advanced fiber optic video and audio systems
from Telecast Fiber Systems will be front and center aboard the FileCaster™,
a traveling showcase of the latest mobile broadcasting technologies
from the 2009 NAB Show. Telecast is among only 10 vendors that were
chosen as exclusive technology providers for the FileCaster, which will
tour 14 U.S. West Coast cities immediately following the NAB Show.
Designed and sponsored by TV Pro Gear,
Inc., the FileCaster is a hybrid six-camera HD mobile production truck
with satellite transmission that incorporates the latest technologies
available for mobile broadcasting. The FileCaster national tour is designed
to be a one-stop shop for broadcasters to learn about the latest gear
and see it in a working studio configuration. TV Pro Gear experts will
be on hand to demonstrate how to implement a tapeless workflow, how
to maximize studio efficiencies, how to leverage portable fiber systems
for low-cost and reliable transmissions, and many other topics.
On board the FileCaster will be Telecast
Fiber Systems’ Mini BoothPack, a specialized bundle of Telecast solutions
that includes the Telecast TelePort™ CWDM wavelength manager, Adder
II™ modular audio, intercom, and data multiplexing system, and DiamondBack™
4x4 NTSC/PAL video multiplexer. The FileCaster will also feature Telecast’s
CopperHead™ camera-mounted fiber optic multiplexing system and SHED™/HDX™
simple hybrid elimination device and power adapter system.
